Founded on December 14, 1952, amid the rhythmic hum of the Tipoití S.A. cotton mill, Club Deportivo Mandiyú stands as a testament to the strength of the working class. Born from the vision and effort of laborers in Corrientes, the club’s identity is woven into the very fabric of the Litoral region. Known as “Los Algodoneros” — “The Cotton Growers” — Mandiyú proudly honors both the harvest of its land and the tireless spirit of its people.

Its green and white colors symbolize the fertile hope of the province and the purity of honest work. In 1994, the club reached one of the most iconic moments in its history when Diego Armando Maradona took charge as head coach, leaving an unforgettable mark on its legacy.
